2 cases:
1) In project window ( ref like http://HOST.mariadb.com:8089/job/JOB_NAME/ you can abort build by click to cross, which run ajax request with reference:

/view/All/job/JOB_NAME/BUILD_NUMBER/stop
<a onclick=
"new Ajax.Request(this.href);
 return false"
 class="stop-button-link"
 href="/view/All/job/JOB_NAME/BUILD_NUMBER/stop">
<img style="width: 16px; height: 16px; " class="icon-stop icon-sm" src="/static/4238be97/images/16x16/stop.png">
</a>

2) In build window ( ref like http://HOST.mariadb.com:8089/job/JOB_NAME/BUILD_NUMBER/ you can abort build from same ref:

/view/All/job/JOB_NAME/BUILD_NUMBER/stop

And ajax make same request: add "stop" at link end.

<a onclick=
"if(confirm(&quot;Are you sure you want to abort JOB_NAME #BUILD_NAME?&quot;))new
Ajax.Request(&quot;stop&quot;);
return false;"
class="stop-button-link"
href="stop">
<img style="width: 16px; height: 16px; " class="icon-stop icon-sm" src="/static/f94106d4/images/16x16/stop.png">
</a>

That is, to abort some build just add "stop" word to build link:

http://HOST.mariadb.com:8089/view/All/job/JOB_NAME/BUILD_NUMBER/stop
